Offers and listing refresh are optional. Their availability and controls depend on the connected marketplace, so check the options shown in Settings and on eligible inventory items. Neither feature is required to list or sell. If you are new, leave them off until you are comfortable with the basics.

Outbound offers

An outbound offer is a discount sent to a buyer who is watching or interested in an item. If offers are available for an account, review:
  • the minimum price you are willing to accept;
  • when the offer is sent;
  • which items qualify;
  • whether the offer can be combined with other promotions.
An offer does not change the inventory price unless the buyer accepts it and the sale is recorded. The sale then follows the normal stock and auto-delist rules.
Set a floor price you are happy with before you turn offers on. An offer rule that can go below your cost is worse than no offer at all.

Refresh an older listing

Listings with little recent activity may qualify for a refresh. Depending on the account, a refresh may:
  • revise the listing;
  • create a new listing;
  • delist and relist the item.
The exact behaviour depends on the marketplace and your settings. Read the rule before you turn it on.
1

Review the rule

Check the eligible items, the timing and the action that will run. Start with a small set if you are not sure how the rule will affect your listings.
2

Queue the work

Run the action from the available settings or inventory selection. Watch the action status while Xlistr processes it.
3

Confirm before retrying

Check the listing on the marketplace if a result is uncertain. A timed-out refresh may still have created a listing.
A fresh listing can lose existing favourites, watchers or history. Use a normal edit when you only need to change a field.

Stale listing rules

A stale listing is one that has not been refreshed within your chosen interval. Xlistr can flag it in Inventory and, if you enable it, refresh it automatically. Before you enable automatic refresh:
  • decide how many days count as stale;
  • decide whether the item should be revised or relisted;
  • check the marketplace’s rules;
  • start with a small group;
  • watch the first results.

Offers vs refresh

Common problems

Check that the item qualifies, the buyer is eligible and the marketplace connection is healthy. Some marketplaces limit how often you can send offers to the same buyer.
Turn the rule off and review the minimum price. Offers should have a floor that protects your margin.
Check the marketplace first. End the duplicate, then check the item in Xlistr and remove the extra listing. Do not retry the refresh until you understand which listing is which.
A new listing usually starts fresh. Use a normal edit if you want to keep the existing history.
Check that the feature is enabled for the account, the item qualifies, and the connection is healthy. For browser-session shops, check Chrome and the extension.
