# Selling on Depop with Xlistr

> Connect Depop through the Chrome extension, prepare a listing, keep the session healthy, and fix common Depop problems.

Depop is a browser-session marketplace. Xlistr uses the Xlistr Chrome extension and the Depop session you are already signed in to.

Shop integrations. Depop will show Connect or Reconnect depending on the session.

## What Depop needs from you

* Chrome, on the computer where you list.
* The Xlistr Chrome extension installed and enabled.
* A signed-in Depop account in the **same Chrome profile**.
* The extension pinned so you can check it quickly.

## Connect Depop

1. Open **Automation > Shop integrations**.
2. Find **Depop**.
3. Click **Connect**.
4. Install the Xlistr Chrome extension if you have not already.
5. Sign in to Depop in the same Chrome profile.
6. Open the Xlistr extension and click **Connect** or **Sync** if prompted.
7. Return to Xlistr and check that Depop says **Connected**.

## Prepare a Depop listing

1. Add the item to **Inventory**.
2. Open the item and choose the Depop listing.
3. Check the title, category, description, photos, price and quantity.
4. Complete the Depop fields.
5. Choose the postage details.
6. Review the checklist.
7. Save a draft or publish.

### Depop titles and descriptions

* Keep the title clear and specific.
* Mention the brand, size and condition.
* Put the flaws in the description, not just the photos.
* Use the Depop category that fits the item.
* Check the Depop field names; they may differ from eBay or Vinted.

### Depop photos

* Use natural light.
* Show the label and any flaws.
* Keep the first photo clean and clear.
* Check Depop's image limits before uploading a large set.

### Depop postage

Choose the service that matches the parcel and the buyer's location. If you are unsure, check Depop's current postage options before publishing.

## How stock sync works

Depop is usually a **single-unit** channel. When the item sells, Xlistr can update the inventory and delist the other marketplace listings.

The sync depends on the extension being online. If Chrome is closed or the Depop session expired, the update waits.

> **Depop actions can take a little time.** If you need to stop a double sale immediately, delist the other listings manually.

## Delist or edit a Depop listing

* To edit, open the listing in Xlistr and change the details.
* To delist, use **Delist** on the Depop listing or **Delist everywhere** on the item.
* Delisting does not delete the inventory item.

If Depop is waiting for the extension, the action will resume when Chrome and the session are available.

## Common Depop problems

> Open Chrome, check that the Xlistr extension is enabled, and sign in to Depop in the same profile. Then return to Xlistr and check whether the action resumes.

> [accordion] Depop says 'Needs reconnecting'

> Open **Shop integrations**, find Depop and click **Reconnect**. Complete the Depop sign-in in the same Chrome profile.

> [accordion] Depop asks for a captcha
>
> Complete the captcha yourself in the Depop window. Once Depop is happy, return to Xlistr and retry.

> [accordion] The listing is live on Depop but Xlistr says failed
>
> Check the Depop listing first. If it exists, do not publish again. Wait for the sync, then refresh the item. If it stays wrong, contact support with the Depop listing link.

> [accordion] The item sold on Depop but eBay is still live

> Check the eBay connection and your auto-delist settings. If the sale was not confirmed, Xlistr may not have started the follow-up. Delist eBay manually if you need to stop a double sale.

> [accordion] I changed to a different Chrome profile

> The extension and the Depop login must be in the same profile. Switch back to the profile where you installed Xlistr, or install it again in the new profile and reconnect.

> **Never share your Depop password or two-factor code with support.** The extension works with the session in your browser; nobody needs your password.
